Sleep Schedules

My kids are great sleepers. Seriously. They are in bed by 7 and I normally don't hear a peep from them after that. I love it. It's great for getting stuff done, going out with Doug (they're the easiest babysitting job ever), and they don't really get badly affected by time zone changes. The one thing I wish though is that they wouldn't wake up so early. I've tried keeping them up later, refusing to get up with them, everything, but to no avail. Normally they're up around 6-6:30 and that's just the way it's going to be. Luckily hubby is a morning person and I try and get up by the time he has to leave for work. You would think that after almost 3 years of this schedule I would be better at getting up in the morning, but...no.

I was up so early yesterday that I got to take pictures of the sunrise. In my mind this was the only benefit to being up at that time. (I love my camera!)

What about you? What sort of sleep do you get? Or let me rephrase that what sort of sleep do your kids let you have? What's your favorite sleep tricks?

  1. I am with you, I do not like getting up early. Brooklyn is a good sleeper and same schedule as your kids, except lately she is waking up between 7 and 7:30! I am hoping this phase lasts a long time. I used the healthy sleep habits, happy child book and love it.
